Scenes

The action of The Lark takes place basically in the court of the Church in which is being tried on charges of heresy. However, the play is also a memory play and action moves to Joan's home, the meadows near Domremy, the squire's offices, the Cathedral at Reims, the court of the Dauphin and the fields of battle at various times in the play so that we may see the entire story of Joan.

The element of time means nothing in this play; rather it is the play itself which is important.
